NEGAUNEE, MI – Karen M. Karki, age 68, of 105 Huron Courtroom, Negaunee, handed away Friday, September 24, 2021, at her house, whereas within the loving care of her household and UP Residence Well being & Hospice.Karen was born March 21, 1953, in Marquette, to Betty (Peterson) and the late John “Jack” Sleeman. She graduated from Negaunee Excessive College, Class of 1971.
Karen and her husband, Wealthy owned and operated Karki’s Jewellery, together with different enterprise adventures all through her life.
Karen was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She loved drawing, knitting, enjoying softball, billiards, scrapbooking, bingo, listening to and enjoying music, making customized birthday playing cards and cheering on her grandchildren in all their actions.
Karen is survived by her husband, Richard, whom she married on July 24, 1971, 3 youngsters; Michelle (David) Trawick, Richard (April) Karki Jr., and Adam (Leah) Karki, 11 grandchildren; Stephen and Matthew Trawick, Kylee (Shawn) McIntyre, Ethan, Mackenzie, Jerzee, Cole, Jackson, Grant, Harrison and Ford Karki, her mom; Betty Sleeman, 3 sisters; Linda (Craig) Hawkins, Vickie (Jeff) Baldini, and Cindy (Jay) Chapman, together with many nieces and nephews.
Karen was preceded in loss of life by her father; John “Jack” Sleeman and a brother; Jackie Sleeman.
Karen’s household will greet family members and buddies from 3:00 – 5:00 pm on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Negaunee, the place a Mass of Christian Burial shall be celebrated at 5:00 pm, with Fr. Larry Van Damme officiating.
Pallbearers shall be Karen’s grandchildren.
A luncheon will comply with at St. Paul College Gymnasium.
