Italian tennis star Camila Giorgi investigated for alleged fake Covid vaccine certificate

Italian tennis star Camila Giorgi is under investigation for allegations that she used fake Covid vaccination certificates to play around the world in 2022, including at last year’s Australian Open.

Giorgi is said to have entered Australia with false documents to play the Australian Open in Melbourne in 2022.

In an explosive development, Giorgi’s personal doctor, Daniela Grillone, was charged with vaccinating hundreds of people in Vicenza with a fake serum last February.

The Italian newspaper La Repubblica broke the news that Giorgi was being investigated by the Italian police for using fake certificates, and now Dr. Grillone said in an interview with a local newspaper that Giorgi, 31, had the vaccine. It was confirmed that he had not been inoculated with

Dr. Grillone, who has been cooperating with investigators, revealed that her surgery in Veneto, where rumors of fraud spread, and that there were sometimes lines of people waiting for fake vaccinations.

Hundreds of doctors, nurses, police and entrepreneurs, including the singer’s madam, were embroiled in the scandal, but one name doctors remember most is a tennis player who was an existing patient.

“The Giorgi family has been in therapy with me for a long time,” Grillone told the Italian daily Corriere del Veneto.

“Camila Giorgi suffered from so-called tennis elbow. Shortly before the start of summer she asked for the possibility of obtaining false certificates for all mandatory and Covid vaccines.”

“I can confirm with absolute certainty that the Giorgi family was not actually given the vaccine, in which case I have not received any payment.

“I am deeply upset and sorry for my actions.”

Giorgi, also a lingerie model, reached the third round of the Australian Open, losing to world No. 1 and eventual champion Ash Barty.

Vaccines are required to enter the United States, but Giorgi played in three tournaments last year, including the US Open.

At last year’s French Open, Giorgi was told by the referee about his choice of dress.the official seems to have a problem with the advertising logo on her dress being too big.

At Roland Garros, her father and coach Sergio Caught trying to cover up his vaping on the stand.

The Italian is currently in Adelaide and has lost a qualifying match for the Adelaide International.

She has been entered to compete in the Australian Open, which starts in Melbourne on Monday, January 16.

Novak Djokovic was infamously deported from Australia last year for entering Australia without vaccination or a valid exemption.

From November, Covid vaccination is no longer a mandatory requirement to enter Australia.

Proving that you submitted false documents can result in your visa application being refused or canceled, according to the Home Office.

The WTA said it was aware of the allegations and was monitoring the investigation by Italian police.

A WTA spokesperson told News Corp: “We are aware of the allegations and are currently monitoring the situation and any investigations that may be brought.
