M-Sport unveiled the brand new EcoBoost-powered Ford Fiesta R2 for subsequent 12 months’s FIA Junior WRC Championship collection. The hatchback, developed along side Ford, was designed to satisfy the FIA’s newest R2 rules.
Designers began from a clear slate, so the brand new mannequin shares little with the earlier one. Most elements of the rally automotive have been rethought and upgraded.
Motivating the Fiesta R2 is a 1.0-liter turbocharged I-Three that produces 200 hp and 214 lb-ft of torque. Backing the engine is a Sadev five-speed sequential transmission with an AP Racing two-disc plate clutch and a limited-slip differential.
The brand new suspension contains Reiger adjustable dampers (3-way entrance, 2-way rear adjustable) with Eibach springs that may be ordered with exhausting or comfortable springs. Alcon equipped the competitors brake calipers, rear stable rotors, and the brake grasp cylinder. The entrance rotors are ventilated AP Racing models, and the rally automotive rides on OZ Racing wheels.
