Brown interviewed Steelers linebacker coach and senior defensive assistant Brian Flores said the Cardinals want to talk to him about another position this week in the defensive coordinator vacancy.
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport believes the Cardinals Permission requested Interview Flores for a head coaching job.
Flores went 24-25 in three seasons with the Dolphins before being fired in 2021. Flores was interviewed by other head coaches after his sacking, but he didn’t move up to any position.
Flores filed lawsuits against the NFL, Dolphins, and other teams shortly after he was fired, alleging racism in their hiring practices, and former Cardinals head coach Steve Wilkes said the Cardinals had been out for a year. He later signed a lawsuit making the same allegations that fired him… on the job.
The Cardinals are conducting an opening interview with their general manager prior to speaking with their head coach.
