PETALING JAYA: Athletes, coaches and sports activities officers present process full-time coaching and staying on the Nationwide Sports activities Council (NSC) dormitories have been restricted to the quarters and are prohibited from returning to their respective hometowns from Monday.
Occasions organised by the sports activities ministry and its businesses are postponed till after Oct 31, apart from day by day coaching.
Youth and Sports activities Minister Reezal Merican Naina Merican, who introduced the restrictions tonight, mentioned the directive is restricted to the dormitories and coaching centres. Will probably be enforced from Oct 12 to Oct 31 to scale back the danger of Covid-19 infections and to make sure that day by day coaching can proceed as normal in a safer and extra conducive method.
“Every athlete is just allowed to go away the dormitory as soon as every week to go to at least one location underneath the permission of their managers or coaches.”
He added that those that returned from lockdown areas in Sabah, Kedah and Klang within the final week wouldn’t be allowed to return to the NSC dormitories till Oct 31.
They are going to be required to adjust to the SOPs, similar to sporting a face masks, recording their temperatures, training bodily distancing and avoiding pointless contact with others within the space.
Programmes and sports activities occasions not organised by the sports activities ministry can proceed to observe the SOPs and directions of the Nationwide Safety Council and well being ministry, he mentioned.
